Relax. 90 min domestic layover is a lifetime.
In a previous life before Covid I showed up to the airport half an hour before a flight with no worries but the Hawaiian wristband screening is new so I love to get stressed about it
As long as you are on the same airline and terminal you should have plenty of time.

Those are right next to each other. Do you have pre check?
Are these two separate tickets?
I wouldn’t worry then. Worst case they rebook/reroute you

At least when we went last year, the wristband line took over an hour (don’t remember exact time but I do remember we should have got in line sooner than we did cuz we only got our wristbands like 10 minutes before boarding had started and we got to our gate right when our group was called). We got to the airport and through security 2/2.5 hrs before our flight for reference. Now granted, once we landed in Hawaii, the line on that side was non-existent on the BI but apparently the person in front of us had friends on Maui/Oahu and the lines were twice as long. Sooo it’s a toss up whether it’s better to wait on the mainland or Hawaii side. Just get there with enough time and walk over to the booth immediately after passing through security. I glanced and thought the line wasn’t snaking around the corner so thought we were cool. Had I walked over I would have seen it went around 2 CORNERS plus a lengthy way down the hall.

I went in August as well and it depends on your airline. Some airlines force you to wait til you get there while others (I believe United - which we took, AA, Alaska, and Delta) check you before on the mainland and give you a wristband.
