Hi, I belong to the corporate bowl but I have snuck in to ask if anyone would be interested in assisting the Ukranian Crisis Legal Aid organisation that has been set up by a Hungarian law firm to pair up refugees and lawyers. The website is https://ukrainelegalaid.org and it was set up by KNP LAW Nagy Koppany Lencs & Partners (who I am not affiliated with). This is all pro bono. Feel free to PM me, especially if you are English qualified!

Chase, since you can transfer to united at a better rate than their branded cards.
Would that be either CSP or CSR? Doesn’t that compete with the gold tho?..

I have AMEX gold and Capital One Venture X. Great card to have - benefits > cost. DM for referral if needed!

Amex Gold is more for grocery and restaurants as you already know whereas Venture X is mainly for travel. 10x points per dollar on hotels and car rentals, 5x points on flights, and 2x points on everything else.
I use my Amex on food, etc. and Venture X on anything travel related. Annual fee $395 but you get back $300 statement credit per year on flights and $100 annual points gift along with so many travel benefits (like lost luggage, flight delays, cell phone reimbursement for lost or stolen, etc.). Lounges are expanding currently so will have free access as well.
Current sign on promo is well worth it. Can refer as well.
Pro
Amex EveryDay Preferred if it fits your spend patterns. Bonus cats are gas and supermarkets. If it’s used at least 30 times in a month, as I understand it earns 4.5 points/$ on supermarkets, 3 points/$ on gas, and 1.5 points/$ on everything else.
Platinum could make sense, not from a spend perspective but if your value of the credits and perks > the AF.
Green earns 3 points/$ on other travel (transit) categories like parking, mass transit, etc. But as I detail below, CSP/CSR could make more sense
Re K1’s suggestion, I don’t know that adding on Chase as well if you’re not already in the UR ecosystem would make sense. Personally I am going to because I’ve already had the CSR for a long time and would like to get the CFF for the 5 points/$ on rotating category spend. If you wanted to do that you could combine it with either the CSR ($350 effective AF after the $200 travel credit) or the CSP and use either of those for general travel in lieu of the Amex Green.
