Bain & Company Can someone recommend a good starting point on how to go around solving case interviews? What frameworks should I follow? I am kinda new to case interview and want to develop skills to solve them. Any books, online sources would be really appreciable. I would call it conversational. Get a sense of who you are, what you love to do. What you want to do. There will be plenty of time for behavioral questions. You’re at Accenture. You’re clearly qualified. We want to know if we can put you on our team. Will you interact well with them. That sort of stuff.
Don’t down play or complain about your previous place at all. Can’t tell you how many people do and it just ruins it for me.
Enjoy it, be yourself, be honest and have fun!
Here was my experience:
Interview 1: 1 hour long - 30m technical, 30m behavioral, interviewed by a consultant
Interview 2: 30 minute behavioral with a practice lead
Interview 3: 45 minute breakfast with a practice director, offer extended
This stuff depends entirely on which market though
Anyone care to share what types of technical/case questions Slalom uses? I have an interview soon as well and am nervous on what to expect
Likely one is a case. My interview schedule went as follows:
Day 1:
A. Two consultants (Case)
B. Met with PAL (behavioral)
Day 2:
A. Met with GM (behavioral)
B. Met with MD (behavioral)
this was a while ago.. but curious what kind of behavioral questions they asked?
Yeah. Depends on market and if it’s tech related. If tech, you might get asked some technical questions / solution some stuff.
Otherwise, most of our stuff is not behavioral, since we’re heavy on culture and we look a lot for “fit”. There will be some behavioral sprinkled in, but usually not heavy.
What office?
If not behavioral, then what exactly is it?
Just be yourself and you’ll be fine. Really. We can handle it. On the technical side, it could vary widely but if you know what you’re talking about you should be fine.
