Totally depends on the role. Focus on your skill set and how it’s transferable. Attention to detail, thinking of ways to improve processes, hitting deadlines, prioritization without being nudged by your boss, etc.
What’s the industry? Size of company? Strategy? Having these in mind can help for me to understand what sorts of reports management wants. I think knowing these before going in would help me to really get a good feel for what a good chunk of the job entails
Seeing your title is currently accountant, typically though for financial reporting, your main focus might include P&L, BS and CF. Be sure to understand the connectivity of these 3 primary financial statements, and that should help you with technical part of the interview. Also, as a general rule of thumb, you’ll probably be partnering with folks from different departments for gathering data/providing support. Just a thought, but depends on role.
