Hi Fishes,
I recently got an offer for Cyber security advisory at PwC India . They gave a 20% hike on the current amount. Thing is that l, the technical interview told me that it is not a software/coding type of position and asked me multiple times if I was interested to do that. Is that a red flag?

Thanks so much for the advice, this is all incredibly helpful. And exciting! I am at the point where I think people still like brands, even if they’re sick of ads so might be a good direction to move. Definitely will have a few brands at the ready & why, along with some good client relationship examples and determining the brand’s purpose/positioning. Thanks again!
Hey, I have done both for many years. The big difference is that this new job will be to define the brand and essentially what the company stands for. You will be crafting the brand’s purpose (the why) and helping clients operationalize it in everything they say and do. A lot of the insight comes from the company itself and their culture, founder, set of values etc. That is a big difference from advertising where as you know, you are mainly creating short term campaigns based on a human truth. Hope this helps.
Maybe helpful to remember that if you have any questions then most clients also don't know the difference - it's just about who can provide smart info & maybe even an insight or two. So you are good!
I’ve worked at both, and the big difference is that at brand agencies you have a lot more project work, meaning you eventually wind up hustling lot more for new biz than at ad agencies. So, speak to your client passion and ability to drive growth. If you’re not at that stage in your career yet, say being a real driver of growth is important for your next move. Good luck
Imagine you know the difference between the two and the type of work. Agree with @Managing Director — a lot more hustle for new biz. Talk about why you building a strong brand foundation is integral to everything that follows (ie an ad campaign). Also have 1-2 brands off the top of your head that impress you and say why
