EY Deloitte PwC people - would you leave your current employer for a 15%-25% total comp difference? This translates to a 25-45k difference per annum, largely driven by bonus at the new firm (20-40%), much smaller than my current employer. Doesn’t feel like a great exit opportunity - currently at big 4 this would be moving to a niche consulting company

You’re going to be working 30% more hours to make up for that pay! Mwhahaha
I actually have no idea what Accenture Interactive is like. Congrats on the offer :)
Jump it shouldn’t be that much more at max 45-50 hours depending on client - have friends a Accenture
Level will impact number of hours worked.. they ride us SMs in to the dirt. Generally agree with D1, though… as always, it depends 😉
Lately, closer to 60 hours because I’m negotiating a large engagement with a client and mobilizing/onboarding the delivery team. However, I would say 45-50 is norm and includes the time spent peeling off random emails from my phone/iPad.
I’m in Industry consulting (S&C) and lead my own engagements which helps me set boundaries and work expectations.
It’s relative to your client and project. I highly doubt everyone is pulling 40/45 at your current company all the time.
Have you gotten an actual offer from them? I got a verbal offer from a recruiter last week but they haven’t sent the actual offer letter yet because they said they’re updating their recruitment system.
Yeah I got the written offer 24 hours after the verbal
Accenture is known to respect WLB way more than deloitte at least in technology. I have met many people who jumped from accenture and they all hated the new culture of endless work
Do you know if that is accurate across all practices?
Thanks everyone! I’m more so nervous about Interactive because I haven’t heard too much about it. I’m currently working on the federal side which is why idk what to expect for hours and WLB for Accenture Interactive
You still didn’t share what level 😉
If you’re a Manager/Senior Manager there’s a lot more ebb and flow as you’re supporting business development and selling work. However that also means you have more latitude to set expectations/boundaries because your run the engagements.
Analyst/Consultant, you’re much more at the mercy of your project leadership and how they run their own engagements, which varies not only practice to practice but also across individuals in the practice.
