Hello, I'm looking at a position within Paypal. My question, what is the work life balance, expectation for office (hybrid/remote/other) and is the pay comparable to other companies? Reviewing Director and Senior Director roles on the business side. I have over 15 years experience with multiple degrees. TIA!

PwC A recruiter from PWC reached out to me to ask if I’d consider a different office the one I applied to, since it’s full. It would be Boston, Hartford, Chicago, Minneapolis, Little Rock, Denver, San Francisco or San Jose. MSA candidate. Is there a fully remote option? Do you have to be in the office all the time? Is the compensation high at PWC? Is there a possible moving expenses? Any insight or advice would help me make a decision. Thank you!

We have a snack stipend. $25 per week.
My husbands company pays for our internet basically. He’s not in advertising 😑 and they started doing it less than 6mo into lockdown.
Small agency in SF. $60 is automatically added to each paycheck to cover Internet/mobile phone. Pre-pandemic we had to submit an expense report to have those covered, but about two weeks into working from home, they started being added automatically.
Also there was no explicit wfh stipend, but I’ve asked ops and IT for things (monitor, chair, printer) and was either given the ok to purchase or has one delivered next-day
I get $200 a year for WFH expenses, to use at my discretion (Not at Ogilvy, that tag is a few jobs ago but it wont update)
I was going to say I’m at Ogilvy all i got was a laptop and cord. I had to ask for pen and pads
We’ve been getting regular deposits in our checking account above and beyond our pay to help out with stuff like this. I think about a hundred or two every other paycheck or something. Plus lots of other fun gifts but it would seem gratuitous to list them all out here
We've had some agency swag packages, but I'd rather have a stipend 😂
I mention internet specifically because I wouldnt be surprised if agencies start requiring a minimum internet speed
Point I was jokingly making was that most agencies are notoriously cheap and won’t do it. We all have WiFi; and we all need it regardless of the type of job we have. The onus is on us.
I heard one agency started giving their employees extra money for utilities (internet, electricity) and reimbursed the money they spent on office materials including chairs and desks in some cases.
At my agency I didn’t even get a welcome package with a pen and a pad 😂.
We got $75 at the start of the pandemic to help us purchase what we needed to wfh (desk, office supplies, monitors, dongles, etc.)
Rising Star
I would just be happy to be flown out to the agency twice a year or so to mix with team and build bonds.
Nope. My boyfriend’s company (tech) pays for wifi though.
We've been getting $15/month for internet stipend (big whoop) ever since I started FT in January. I think that'll end next year or whenever they expect most people to return to the office, if they ever decide to.
Geesh I’m remote I got nothing nada no swag no perks not a pen. Just a laptop
