I wasn’t lonely, me and my good pal Peter Olinto discussed the CPA exam every day.
Peter's a G
me 🙋🏽♀️☹️
Sounds like my life. Work / study / beer / food / sleep
This was literally me. I moved to Philly for a new job and I was just getting serious about studying. I skipped happy hours to study and didn’t have time to meet people as I studied every possible moment I could. Things will get easier once you pass. Don’t make the mistake I made and try to give yourself 1 night a week to be social
It’s nice knowing I’m not the only person in this boat. I feel like I get bored and start buying shit I don’t necessarily need. 🤦🏻♂️
I live home and I’m experiencing this. The exams suck for this reason but keep going we can do it!!
I lived at home for a few years after college too. I never had this issue then, but I wasn’t studying for the exam then either. It sucks 👎🏼
I’m in the same boat. I just graduated and have spent the past few months living with my parents and studying. I definitely feel like a loser at times, (especially when I spend Friday and Saturday nights with Peter Olinto) but it’s a relatively short period of time that (hopefully) will have a nice return of lots of saved money and not having to worry about the exam when I start full time
Not sure if you are drinking alone in your apartment, but you can always go around the corner to a local bar and grab a beer instead, watch a game on tv, etc. Great way to get out of the house even if you’re not “going out” per se
Have to pick the right bar. Understand not wanting to go to a club alone, but somewhere chill, more like a pub, would be perfect.
I was on the same boat. Moved to a new city hours away from my family, friends, and girlfriend. Had several beers alone at home. You’re definitely not alone! If I were you I’d get a roommate ASAP. It helped me a lot. The only positive thing that came out of all this was that I was able to pass the CPA in 6 months with no friends/distractions.
Found someone from a different team at work that also needed a roommate.
Drink wine.
Welcome to my life hahah
