Why would you ever want to rollover your 401K into an IRA? It seems like doing so would essentially prevent you from successfully being able to do a IRA to Backdoor Roth IRA conversion due to the pro-rata rule. Am I missing something? Wouldn’t you always want to just rollover your old 401Ks to your new 401K?

If you were me and your goal was to maximize your net worth by retirement, would you put a few thousand dollars extra into paying down the house faster or invest that extra money in the market? How does continuous testing for the CPA work? I am currently registered for the State of South Carolina, which has not begun continuous testing, but I take my exams in a state that has it. Am I eligible? Or do I need to reapply and transfer my existing scores to another state to get continuous testing?
