I have a college friend who retired early because of his crypto earnings. He’s 26.

Yes I am very jealous

like

Same, I’ve got a friend worth in the mid 8 figures due to Crypto/NFTs.

All made within the past ~18 months. Insane stuff.

Made 2-3 mil. Not retirement money but takes the pressure off of things

like

$2.5M is retirement at ~100k/year. How much ya spending?

I would have if EY didn’t pay me so little. Some of my friends invested 50-100K in Bitcoin 5 years ago. I made less than half their salary, so I couldn’t afford much. I should have eaten Top Ramen then and bought Bitcoin. I’d be eating lobster now

Anyone made spectacular gains on a single stock? I feel like kicking myself sometimes for diversifying a bit too much and not going all in on high growth tech.

like

I stopped diversifying.

Just had 4x on MANA. Not jackpots but better returns than traditional investment types.

Shiba was on my side this past week

Not crypto but got lucky with stock picks. Mainly was early in on Tesla and a couple option plays.

I recently was let go (in lieu of accepting my two weeks) and I should have received my March expense check by the end of April per the employment agreement (submitted the report April 1, let go before mid April). I have emailed HR but haven't heard anything. I've got a feeling someone at the top is putting a hold on it.

How do I get my money from them? It's a few hundred dollars

Sorry if this isn't the right bowl for this question - I've checked a few.

Hey all! I’m 30 years old. About to close on a house with a 5.75% fixed 30 yr mortgage. If you were me and your goal was to maximize your net worth by retirement, would you put a few thousand dollars extra into paying down the house faster or invest that extra money in the market? The 5.75% doesn’t feel that low but also not crazy high so I’m torn. Thoughts? 🙏

Looking for tips from seniors. I'm at A1 level at a litigation firm, stepping out of the deer-in-headlights phase.
