Have been on a high burn project for a while; need some easy time but not beach (9-5 kind of a work life). Is state project the answer or an internal non consulting role? (travel life is not an issue)

I left KPMG about a month ago to be a senior leader in a smaller tech company's finance function. It isn't bad, get pretty great flexibility... but I don't think I like it overall. How long do I have to stay until I can boomerang to consulting without it looking bad? Given the crazy hiring right now, can I do it sooner rather than later?

I have been asking for release for the last one year. We have final appraisal coming up, and I heard there is no salary hike for lateral employees. If I strictly ask for release during appraisal cycle, will they release me with low rating or will they put me on PIP?
Wanted to know as the project which I'm working doesn't help me with any career growth.

Hi fishes, I got 5+ years of work ex of which 2 years was in domain non IT job. While joining Accenture I was offered level 11 (As SAP functional CONSULTANT) while I believe I should be at level 10. I am prior military and went to law school. How could I get some experience strictly remote? I am w-2 working as an accountant in healthcare, have passed the bar and am working on my CPA license (studying starts at 3 am, then work FT).
