I think we’re moving towards the ‘low activity’ Feb-March period. Plus covid. Things will likely pick back up in late April. Purely based on my experience.
Regardless - DON’T GIVE UP!!! The best job is out there, waiting for you!!!
Took 3 months, but got a new job. Keep at it, don’t give up! U can do it!
Thank you, and congratulations on landing!
Took a few months but ended up with a new gig and decent raise 30%. Unfortunately not too happy with the new job.
Why not? Things that bad at D as others have claimed?
What did you do to get your job?
I have grown from role to role so I don’t have a neat progression. I have found potential employers who want to hire me but don’t have enough work at the moment and have applied for roles that I can’t get the time of day on. I have been turned down after the final interview and when I ask why I am told that my qualifications are great, I interview very well, and I have a great attitude.
I network extensively and volunteer with organizations that in turn promote me. I am coming up on a half year of this.
I don’t mean to sound like a downer or a complainer, but frankly I feel desperate and hopeless now.
Any advice helps. How did you approach your search?
Hey! First, it's been a tough year in general for many. So try not to judge yourself harshly.
Second, tell us more about your background - YOE, skillset, what type of roles you've applied for, how many, and are you focused on a given location(s). Why do you think your networking hasn't paid off yet?
