I'm currently in a process for senior associate at a Big4. The process began on July, yet between the first and second interview it took like 3-4 weeks. And between the 2nd and 3rd like 7 weeks. I sent an email to HR during those weeks asking for an update and didn't have an answer. Then it a 3rd one was scheduled three times (the manager didn't connect to the first 2) and next week I have the last interview with 1 partner. Is the timing normal? Or were they looking for other candidates or what?

RANT: People re-writing a cw’s stuff has always been painful. These days it’s far more common than when I started. It’d be one thing if they upgraded the work. If I learned from it. If I genuinely seethed with envy over their wit w/that perfectly placed semi-colon. People can’t re-art direct stuff bc they don’t know the programs so they ask the ADs for changes. Word and a keyboard made everyone think they can write. Which they can’t. Google Slides is Google slip ‘n slide into (bad ref. here.)

What was your experience with the LSAT? Do you think it's gatekeeping, preventing students who can't afford it (often people of color) from entering the field? When beginning a piece of literature, I first help the kids access the relevant culture. I have used web quests, but I have found that the kids researching their choice of topics and creating Slides containing information and pics results in more students participating. Recently they researched heraldry for the Medieval Era and reproduced either a family crest that they found or created their own personal crest. Anyone have other activities they use?
