Book recommendations on leadership, career development, etc?

There is an opportunity in another office to build out their business in a large industry that I identified. The office has very little client base within the industry. The partners do not have experience in the industry and there are no senior managers or managing directors in that office. As a SM4, how do I go about asking to build out that business with the hope that it’ll build a strong case and accelerate my path to partner?

Hi fellow PMs, Question for the group: has anyone here made the switch from being a creative agency PM to a digital producer or digital agency PM? I.e. going from managing creative projects like TV to managing website builds/UX projects. If so, what was the transition like and what helped you get your bearings in the new environment? I got hired straight out from college 5 years ago from a small CPA firm and have worked in Tax ever since. Lately, I feel like this is not what I'm actually into. What else I can do with my Accounting degree?

My passion is Real Estate and Interior Design, love Managerial Accounting, I can sit for hours analyzing data, I also have a degree in Supply Chain Management.

My passion cannot feed my family but I've been burned out so much after years in Tax. 😞

Advice for someone early in their career aiming to make partner?

Need career advice. Trying to break into a finance role, preferably an Analsyt role but I have no transferable experience. I worked as a mortgage loan officer (which is sales) for 2 years after college, but since mortgage is such a niche industry, no hard skills transfer and have no relevant undergrad internships unfortunately. I know I can essentially get any sales job I want in finance IE: financial advisor etc. but don’t want to be stuck in sales forever. Any advice?

I left Audit at a midsize firm to join KPMG erp implementation consulting about 6 months ago. So far they seem to only want to staff me on projects with a heavy focus on technical accounting and audit. Spoke to a lot of others who have left and seems like being pigeonholed or staffed on projects not related to the actual core work of the practice is the common reason. I have a financial audit background (4 years Big-4), 1,5 year in deal advisory (half year financial due diligence department, 1 year valuation department). Looking for a project manager / consultant opportunity in Dubai. I've got 6 years of experience in digital transformation consulting - any leads here?

I'm currently in a process for senior associate at a Big4. The process began on July, yet between the first and second interview it took like 3-4 weeks. And between the 2nd and 3rd like 7 weeks. I sent an email to HR during those weeks asking for an update and didn't have an answer. Then it a 3rd one was scheduled three times (the manager didn't connect to the first 2) and next week I have the last interview with 1 partner. Is the timing normal? Or were they looking for other candidates or what?

Any one know that total comp for bcg dubai at project leader and manager level? Ideally split by base, housing allowance and target bonus.

Can anyone let me know how easy it is to apply to a consulting firm in Dubai directly coming from London? I am currently working at a T2 strategy firm in London and my partner and I want to relocate in ~1.5 years. My firm does not have an office in Dubai whilst my partners firm does. Is it possible to apply straight (rather than moving laterally in London, waiting a few years then transferring?) interested in MBB views too. (I would have roughly 2.5 YOE by then)
