I am about to finish an interview process with Apple doing purely technical data stuff. I imagine the TC will be significantly higher from Apple(200k~). As I really want to pick up the business acumen from Mck, would it be stupid to try and get Mck to renegotiate despite start date being so soon(given I get an offer from Apple before start date)? I have already accepted offer from McKinsey & Company

If you had 2 mortgages at the exact same interest rate (1 is a 15 year and the other is a 30 year), does it make sense to put extra payments (say 400 per month) towards one or the other? Looking at it purely from a $ perspective in the long term (not psychological where You prepay the lower balance quicker to ultimately have only one loan).

Hi everyone, I work at an early stage start up that just closed our round A. I just hired a director below me, however when it was time to come up with an offer I was removed from the conversation. The CO-founders said they’d handle the actual offer amount/equity. I joined early so salary is low but I have decent equity. I've become really jaded about consulting. I find all so often you need to tell the client what they want to hear to keep their business and I feel like so much of the what I recommend doesn't actually get implemented. I'm looking to make a career switch so I can both create and execute on my strategies. A product management path seems very promising for this.

Just got another rejection... Is exiting to FAANG or MB really this hard? Trying to go tech.. or mbb, but not getting anywhere. I have 2 masters (mba, ms) from top schools, been in consulting for over 10 years, I am confident that I know my stuff well..but still I keep getting rejected. Interviewed with Google, Amazon, Cisco, McKinsey, and a few others and every-time there is something that is not a match... are the hiring managers looking for like 100% match? That will never happen!!!
