FWIW, I think you’re at the start of the prime time to jump and there’s not a ton of value in staying in BigLaw longer in civil lit. If this role interests you, I’d recommend taking it.
I just moved in house and I just began my fourth year of practice. So far in house has been great. I did have to take a pay cut of about $25,000… I decided that the pay cut was worth it. The company I work at now has about 50ish attorneys in the legal department. The hours are good so far and the change of pace is nice. I recommend doing research on the company before going there. All in-house positions are not the same!! Check to see how long attorneys have been in the legal department there.

I might be in the minority here but a $25k cut to go in house is nothing. You are trading money for time, you are not going to find an in house position that pays you Biglaw money for a predictable work schedule. This sounds like a great offer, take it.
