Hello All, I have been selected in the interview at NTT DATA and also submitted documents as requested by Recruiting HR. However , it's been a 10 days after docs submission but haven't received any call from HR for salary negotiation. On email follow up with HR, he said he is on it and will come back to me soon for further process. Any views.NTT DATA

Considering $15-25k increase in salary, but double the number of work hours, is it worth reapplying to Bain next year or better to wait to apply until after business school?

We don’t hold spots for each school or try to force a balance. Even with your logic, choosing CBS might not be in your benefit because if the CBS pool is more competitive than the “other” pool for that year, you’ll be at a worse spot. Don’t try to game the system IMO.
I’m from Philly and often a non-Penn candidate will have an advantage because we’re trying to diversify the office from a school standpoint.
STC- definitely a good question / good thinking and sorry if I came off the wrong way. The other thing to mention is that NY is extremely competitive probably across MBB but especially for McK. Stamford and NJ are a bit better but not really… still considered NY.

Bain NY is all Harvard
Bain NY has a lot of Wharton too.
A data point: at Wharton, BCG NY typically wins most cross-offer battles against McKinsey NY.

Don’t game it - truly doesn’t matter. But also I’ve seen a lot of NYU Stern / Darden / non-M7 people in my start class at McK NYO.
First round is usually within school, so regardless of which office, you are first evaluated as part of your program. Second round is office specific, and that’s when you need to be competitive amongst other school’s candidates. So yes, there’s no way of gaming the system. Happy to answer any questions via DM though, I went to a NYC MBA and was targeting Chicago office of BCG, and got in.
