Hello Fishes, My joining in Infosys is on 16th December 2021, they have hired me for the position of PLSQL Developer as Technology Lead (JL5). But when I checked on Launchpad portal it shows my unit as 'Data Engineering'. During the interview process, they told me Google Cloud, ETL and Java is also part of the project. I do not have any working experience in Google Cloud and ETL. Is it good to join Infosys under this unit? And would they fire me if I don't have knowledge of GCP and ETL? Infosys

Curious, just accepted offer for entry level swe role (not a comp sci major) and it was well over what I make now and I always hear to negotiate salary but in this case should I have negotiated just to negotiate?

I’m 40 and recently transitioned to UX/Product Design. I completed a bootcamp, continue to improve my skills. I network, have coffee chats, attend virtual events, iterated my portfolio and resume. Everyone that I’ve spoken too so far say that I’m doing everything right and that my non-traditional background is an advantage. So why am I still unemployed? The few interviews that I have had, feedback has been I don’t have enough experience. I’m at a loss!

I have two referrals for a position that I’m trying to apply to, however only one of the employee referrals is showing “attached” to the application. I accepted both employee referrals and they both show under my google account, but for the specific job application (which hasn’t been submitted yet) that one referral just won’t show up!!
