Hi Guys,
I have joined Ofss 1 week back and on second day itself I was allocated to project and onboarding WIP I received mail stating to report back to office 3 days per week under hybrid work model policy. Is this compulsory my base location is 2600 km from my current location as I am joining the citi project its seems difficult for me to grasp things though I have only 1 yr of prior exp by I think my team is expecting a lot so moving to new city and learning at same time is not possible .

Looks like you are already attached to the Startup, don't give a second thought, go for it. The learning curve is much bigger in startups than that of companies like Infosys.
Thanks for suggestion. Yes... I'm also much more interested to work in startup. But my concern is... Can i be able to sustain here, as I'll be only one devops guy in that firm
Yes go for startup, exposure should be really great and challenging. That shapes us.!
If you are confident enough that you can handle even u are the only guy in devops go for start up....else I suggest Infosys as it's a big company you can different projects eventhough learning edge is small....
Point is BGV for Infosys is strict and once u are in no one touches you
For startup BGV is not that much difficult to get in but anytime they can dig...
Go for the startup. It'll be a big learning curve but if you're the only devops guy there then you will absolutely have an opportunity to learn a ton.
Is Infosys providing the same CTC as the startup?
If you have sufficient knowledge on Devops and you think you will be able to manage the tasks alone in that startup, then only go for it.
Else you can go for Infosys, learn more, apply more and then move into some other startup at a later stage so that you are more confident about the roles and responsibilities.
Rest is your choice. Good luck and congratulations as well 👍🏻
