Hello, I am currently IP for a subacute rehab and I have a question. Why is it so hard for nursing staff to wash their hands for 20 seconds? I have the hardest time with my staff and hand hygiene. For those of us with atopic dermatitis, 20s of hand washing will absolutely destroy my hands very quickly if i have to do it after every patient. I just use the gel hand sanitizers instead

I use La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Mains Barrier Repairing Cream and try to reapply it after every few pumps. I stick to gel sanitizers and avoid the foam sanitizers as that is more drying.

Supervisor said I couldn’t have week off for vacation this summer bc another coworker of higher seniority asked off the same week and two people can’t go on vacation at the same time because of staffing. But this coworker that asked off works different shift than me? He works 1st shift I work second. We have a total of 8 workers and no more than 4 work a day. can easily be covered. This has never been a problem until this year (we got a new supervisor). we’re used to being short staffed anyway

Long shot but asking anyway: has anyone in here successfully moved into a European practice from the UK (as a non-EU citizen) post brexit either changing firms or as an internal transfer?

Is it possible? If so, how was the bureaucracy? Any regrets?

I am thinking of exploring this as the UK is becoming slowly more frustrating to live in. I speak fluent English, French and German and have a masters in European Political Economy as well as 3 YOE as a consultant so am not a complete chancer.

How different is litigating in-house vs. in private practice? I’m tired of litigating in private practice and am contemplating a move to an in-house litigation role with a public university—but the pay will definitely be less, so I don’t want to make the switch if it is going to just be the same hamster wheel.
