Hi fishes,
Any guess how many people are laid off from Publicis sapient in past few days? Really scared for my future as I'm also under probation period and deeply regret for my choice of joining this firm...I don't understand why were they recruiting peeps when they were short of projects. Publicis Sapient
I have recently joined EY SaT group as senior consultant recently in Netherlands. I’m tripple masters in MS economics, MBA and MS business analytics. Have 4 YOE in different industries but no M&A experience specifically. Any ideas what company should be offering me? I’ll be working as expert on commercial due diligence, FDD and valuation teams and doing automation alongside. is it wise to demand higher salary or promotion soon after I have proven that I can work and do it better than most?EY

Hello people, how common is a Amazon to PWC move ?
I’m interviewing for a Senior Associate role and TC seems to be more competitive than role in L5.
TC $114k- Base AMZ- $73k +$38kstocks ( vesting 17k$ due next year)
TC $135k Base PWC -$81$ + Bonuses ( 50k$)
Looking for managerial skills which the PWC role avails, and L6 promo doesn’t seem to be happening soon in current role. I’m also mentally stretched. I hear WLB in PWC is just as busy but can anyone confirm if this move makes any sense. Google Amazon

Might be helpful to share your resume for review.
In general I would try and consolidate to one page. You can consolidate similar experiences together and only list the most relevant/recent.
I don’t think you should leave your MBA off.
I think the career gaps are best addressed in a cover letter or interview if it comes up.
1. Just say it the way it is…you had two layoffs. I personally don’t care about gaps unless it looks like a habit. After all, my goal in hiring is retention.
2. Same here. I use my middle name on resumes and switch to legal name with HR. Nothing much you can do unless you want to change your name legally. If your name is Moonshine, I feel for you.
3. Most jobs don’t need an MBA. Not even VP roles. Most senior leaders don’t have MBAs. An MBA usually just makes you overqualified and under-skilled. But don’t leave it off your resume.
4. My resume is three pages long. Don’t go over two pages. It’s the norm.

My 2 cents - how long are your employment gaps? Were you doing freelance at those times too? You can always say that on your cover letter.
Name - unfortunately we get judged for our name. I believe bringing your whole self to work, but if you are hesitant do you have a shortened name?
MBA - leave it on, wouldn’t hurt and adds credibility
Resume length - have multiple versions of your resume with the most latest experience presented. Have an idea of what target positions you want and go from there.
Thanks, that’s good to hear!
I have 10 years of experience and my resume is a page and a half. If you have double that, I don’t see any reason why having 2 pages would be a deal breaker. I’ve never received any negative feedback about my resume length and it’s never prevented me from getting roles. I think you’re fine there, but that’s just my 2 cents
Definitely don’t leave off your MBA!
Resumes can identify you as an older worker- no to these: address - nope, mission statement-nope, only the most recent high earning position relevant to the job applying, just list the higher ed not the graduation date. No hobbies No photos
Thanks, I will try to condense my resume a bit and then post it for review.
