Hello, I had a job in the it networking role for 25 years I have recently been let go of my duties about 5 months ago and of having a real real real bad time trying to find anything remotely what I used to do. It's like my job has been phased out. I was a support specialist and a technical support specialist but it seems like all those roles now roll up into tier one which I am not. Can anybody help me please? I know that a lot of people are in the same boat as me, but I'm looking for advice

What does it mean when a company is hiring lots of marketers?

I’m a 9th year in a mostly litigation-based practice group at a one-tier partnership firm. My group’s billable hours have been low the last few years, so making partner will be nearly impossible, and a counsel position is not viable long-term in my group. What’s the best option here if partnership is the ultimate goal? Try to get a NEP/counsel position at another firm, which is likely difficult in my market, or offer to take a class cut by a few years?

Should I leave my first permanent job as a team leader of 4 DPs in a FMCG business (only been there for 4 months) to join a huge Tech business for a 12months contract?

They offer me 60% more money than my permanent role. Circa 2000 dollars every month in my pocket

However, I am worried if I accept the tech role and I do not become permanent I will be looking again for a job in 12-24 months and my CV won't be showing a managerial position. Won't be showing any progress.

I am in a tech IC position. One of friends switched to FAANG by converting the profile to consultant profile. The friend who might have less tech knowledge than me is now in FAANG and earning more. If the end goal would be that the friend might one day be a product manager and me an engineering manager taking instructions from the same friend, isn't consultant profile an easier path to growth. I went through the hiring process with this company and finally got an offer. They offered 88k/year and I responded opening a negotiation.
