I've been fortunate to be in a high-paying position in the Los Angeles area and I rarely see comparable positions posted. A councilmember would like to draft an ordinance allowing the general public to attend press conferences.  Currently, our local government does not have a policy regarding press conferences in place. But only members of the press are invited to press conferences. So I’m in industry from big 4, and a colleague with same yoe comes from MBB. High paying tech firm. I think I work harder and produce quality content at speed, but they can hold executive conversations that tend to impress senior stakeholders.

Big 4 produces work horses and MBB produces leaders. Also they could be a work horse too since I don’t have full visibility.

Anyone have similar experiences or do I just suck at executive stakeholder management?
