I received a Letter of Intent (LOI) from American Express on June 19th, with a joining date of July 22nd, as the HR says Background Verification (BGV) process will take time. My Last Working Day at my current organization is July 2nd. I have not yet received the official offer letter from Amex.
My concern is whether it is worth and safe to wait and join Amex, as waiting to join Amex might invalidate my other counter-offers, which have earlier joining date.

I am currently working as a Data Science Analyst in Amex and would like to make a switch to Fraud detection/Credit risk modelling in future.(not in a hurry but would like to start preparing for the same)
How should I go about preparing for it? Is MBA the only course?
