Hello!
I am a new graduate and have been applying to several jobs for about 3 months now and have only gotten 1 offer. Is there just a huge surplus of PAs in DFW to where it is an extremely competitive market? I always ask why I was turned down and the few that have replied have said they are looking for providers with experience. This is very frustrating, how can I know if I am just not interviewing well (which I think I am)?

I have been a PA for 20 + years. I took the first job I was offered. I don't regret it. It got the ball rolling. I know things are different now but I suppose the fact that you need to start somewhere never will.

I looked for quite some time as well right out of school. Graduated on 2018. I applied for ~5 months until I got something with, I think 2 interviews.

About a year later, I figured I would look and see what was out there and ended up applying to 3 jobs in unrelated specialties. I got interviewed at 2 and offered one.

Experience matters. Just keep your head up and keep applying. You got this!

Get with a locums/ placement agency ( they are free to you) . Share your experience with that recruiter , they often will give you more honest feedback.
consider traveling / per diem, in family medicine , if needed to get some jobs under your belt .

Long post alert; I have been interviewing with a b4 for a senior con role since Mar end. Cleared all the rounds including case study and got strong rating as well as good feedback. Fast forward to last week, the talent POC calls me up and informs that she has asked the business if the position is still open, because now they just need the business approval to roll out the offer. I immediately felt demotivated as to ‘why now’ after all rounds have been cleared (continued in the comment below)

So I got invited to do an on-site interview and as part of it, the hiring manager wants me to present some of the chemistry I'm currently working on. The problem is all my work has been government contracted and hasn't been published, so due to confidentiality I can't present any complete schemes or specific structures. Any tips on how to ace this presentation?

Hi all,

After the final interview, HR reached out and said they would like to extend an offer. HR gave a ball park of 135k - 145k base with about 15k in sign-on equity and 20k annual bonus.

After a couple of days, HR person came back with with 125k base and 20k annual bonus. No sign-on equity anymore. What should I do given that these numbers seem way lower than the initial range provided? HR claimed it’s because of “market conditions”.

Hi all,

I have cleared all the interviews for Walmart and salary negotiations are also done. A month ago the recruiter said that they are waiting on some approvals and once it is done we will be issuing the offer letter but I haven't heard back any other update since then. Am I getting rejected or is it normal to be on hold without any update for a month at this stage?

Random, but valid/persistent thought.

After 2 years of a pandemic and working independently for many years, I am not feeling interviews AT ALL. There are points in the interview where I want to just say "Look! Either hire me or don't".

How can I get over this feeling? I'm over the whole "stand in the line of fire to prove how good I am" bs. Any recommendations for getting over this or possible industries to pivot into to avoid bs interview processes and ghosting?

I had final round interviews last week for the company I really want to work for. I have an offer from another company, which I communicated to the recruiter which expedited the interview to final rounds. I need to respond to the other company's offer letter soon. Should I follow up with the hiring recruiter for the company I want an offer from? Or just move on if I haven't heard back by end of this week?

Hi Fishes,

I got interviewed at infosys two days back.
When can I expect to hear back from them.
Also all the questions that were asked to me were written coding questions(Write block of code) none were verbal.I could write all answers but none was 100% correct.

At last I asked the interviewer about feedback as in where was I wrong. He said at couple of places and he explained me where was I wrong.

Do you all think I will be rejected?

In honor of National Voter Registration Day, The New Yorker released the transcript of a previously unpublished interview with James Baldwin, who gave a first-hand account of "Freedom Day 1963," a Black voter-registration drive in Selma, Alabama. Looking for advice. ~1 month ago I started formally complaining to HR about some toxic partners, uncompetitive comp, and excessive work load. There has been a lot of TO in the last 12 months and I have been interviewing elsewhere. On Friday I was given a surprise compensation adjustment from $105 to $120 and it’s been complement city for the last few weeks. Chicago, 7 YoE, 5 in buyside AM and 2 in my current role at inv. consultant. Thoughts on salary level / should I stay?
