Hello, I am working in HCL Technologiesas L1 resource my CWL is nagpur but I want to change my working location . It was changed a few months back but they have referred back to nagpur again saying because of some policies so I asked for a project change thought it may be useful for location change, it's been 23 months in my current project I asked for release but my sdm is not willing to release. I cannot travel back to Nagpur vijaywada is my nearest location. Please suggest how I can proceed.

What people are quoting above are consulting rates, which are different from market rates. I can find a researcher in the open market for anywhere between $50-$100 per hour in my city. Anything more would be for exceptions. I would bill this resource to the client for $150-$200/hr. Hope this helps.

Op- Ignore MD1, you can find researchers yes but it all depends on your niche. Don’t let him bamboozle you. Be careful to negotiate at the right stage is my only advice.
You should get $200 per hour in your hand.
When I was at EY we charged the client $350 to $500 based on the practice. So you deserve $200 as you are not an employee.

As someone who has worked with Deloitte approved external contractors, your rate can easily be $150. Do not give a range.
