Move dilemma:
Currently @ Arthur D. Little Limited Dubai as SE Manager w/ base comp of 285k $ + 10-15% bonus. Vert limited fit w/ people & projects in the region (MEI) & not motivated by seniors. Not happy w/ the job but good WLB. Very likely to promote to Pr which would include a 20-30% jump in total comp but shift to more variable
Move to MBB as PL. Projects & people are supposed to be great and he could see himself in the long run. Comp is 170k $ + 60% bonus. Will take 1.5y to move to Pr

Video out with ATC comms https://youtu.be/mIA90evz8gs
ATC specifically asked if they needed to dump video and the cockpit replied that they did not yet apparently they did anyway. Someone’s going to have some litigation depositions to attend.
Holy shit
ATC: "so you don't need to hold or dump fuel or anything like that?"
DL89:"negative"
🤔🤔
I don't see anything in the article about Delta having to take responsibility for their actions. Is this normal operating procedure?
Per OP's other comment, this is not SOP, and was due to the pilots wanting to cut weight down ASAP to land.
From Avherald
A Delta Airlines Boeing 777-200, registration N860DA performing flight DL-89 from Los Angeles,CA (USA) to Shanghai Pudong (China) with 181 people on board, was climbing out of Los Angeles' runway 24L when the crew stopped the climb at 8000 feet reporting right hand engine (Trent 892) compressor stalls, they needed to return to LAX. The crew subsequently advised they had brought the engine back under control, just needed to slow and requested to land on runway 25R. The aircraft was vectored for an ILS approach to runway 25R, emergency services went into their standby position. The crew did not request fuel dump. The aircraft landed safely on runway 25R about 25 minutes after departure. The aircraft vacated the runway.
