I had similar background. Had a bachelors in Economics and masters in Finance.
My general feedback is there’s nothing unachievable if you set your mind to it.
Regards,
Hello. I did a Bachelor in Economics and Finance and did a Masters in Financial Engineerg.
If you are "good" at Maths, it should be "ok" for you. But you might struggle a bit with some mathematical proof like Black Scholes formula and all. At a certain point, you might be using softwares like Matlab and/or Mathematica.
I honestly found it difficult at start but then put in some efforts.
In short, I am sure you will be able to cope.
You'll be fine. YouTube can fill in the blanks. Also, typically you won't be writing math proofs, but instead trying to understand the concept presented so that you can apply it.
I suggest comparing actual curriculum of financial engineering programs. Getting a job is a function of what you learned and can explain. Therefore if you can't afford or can't get into an expensive high rank school, you're mostly fine if the coursework is the same at an unknown university.
