Please share more insight on this, I'm also looking in this area... working as a design Engineer

Civil designer/engineer for a very very small land development company in my hometown. 8 people when I got there. I was underpaid and overworked and came to hate it, but 2 years there helped me get interviews with better jobs.

Started $15/hr intern in small firm for 3 years while in school and got FE during last semester. Graduated and same company hired full time at 57k for 9 months (Construction Inspector in NY). Found a bigger firm, starting at 83k then promoted after a year, 98k now. No PE, getting it in 2 years.

I have a few questions for people in consulting roles (both external/internal).

My partner is in corporate banking, but he wants to switch to a consulting/strategy-based role. I noticed people with those jobs typically have an MBA, and also majority of the job ads in similar roles has MBA as either a requirement or preferred qualification. So:

1) does MBA actually improve someone's chance in getting those roles?
2) are there any good Canadian MBA programs you'd recommend?

Thank you all!

My physical and mental health have been suffering, so I really don't think I could stay. How did you avoid the guilt trips from Partners/Senior staff trying to get you to stay?
