Hey everyone. Trying to get feedback on salaries here. Have 5 years experience and PE in Civil. Mostly work as project engineer type roles but do aid in a lot of Project Manager type task with the way my company is structured as well as mentor two of the younger engineers or my team but don't directly manage them. I work mostly in public sector for consulting firm in southern Louisiana. I am pursuing my PLS license as well and will have that in 3 years. Does $37/hr seem reasonable or low?

I’m a designer in the planning/landscape architecture dept. of a CE firm. Extremely frustrated that after 4+ years and multiple asks, I’m not getting the in-field construction experience I’ve asked for. I know that my designs could be better if I could see how things are actually built but I get slapped in the face with “I need you in the office designing/drafting” or “there’s no budget to have you go out” and then sends an intern to inspect instead.
