SIemens R&D - Rejected after 3rd round

Volkswagen India - Rejected after 1st round (gave wrong answers to 2 tricky output based oops questions asked towards the end)

JPMC - Never got resume shortlisted (tried both referrals and manual ways)

IBM - Received lowballed offer, hearing lots of negativity about their bench policy

After completing my course from Google i started applying for data analyst job but I'm not getting any positive response as such. Hey guys! I’m looking to shift careers. I’ve been in the restaurant industry for 7 years now. Before that I’ve worked in an office, retail, banking, sales and was a correctional officer. I have a BA in criminal justice that I have yet to use. I really want an office job that pays well, but I’ve had no luck finding someone to hire me, actually even getting an interview most likely due to lack of experience. Anyone else frustrated with the lack of follow through from potential employers? I have had two companies undercut my ability to have an equal chance to compete for a role. One company kept telling me a second interview would happen in a few weeks. Nothing for 3 months even with my check ins. To just find out the role was filled. Another company flat out said they couldn’t find my application (in their system where it was attached to job req number) and filled the role.

I was depressed and wanted to leave my company but my manager assured that they will retry it again next year if not picked they would even try L1. While negotiating offer with one in hand, how do you deal with the question "Why are you looking at another offer when you already have one?" The honest answer is usually for more money. But there are other factors for choosing one company over another. How to pitch this in? I feel like any answer other than more money sounds fake to the person on the other side!
