Hey folks, just want to get your opinion, I’ve been waiting for 2 weeks on final decision since my last interview….the recruiter told me things look positive twice now but he has been waiting on a hiring manager decision for almost 2 weeks now…..is this normal and what can I do to push them? Also is this any indication of what the outcome might be?

McKinsey & Company How likely is McKinsey to rescind an offer if there's a recession/downturn before my start date? Received an Associate offer with a start date early in the Fall. But I'm worried about the offer being rescinded due to the ongoing McK scandals/issues and a potential recession in the making (which may prompt them to freeze hiring and/or renege offers).
Has this happened to anyone before at McKinsey, offer getting rescinded due to economic/company downturn? A bit worried

OP, D1 and D2
What roles did you guys interview for?
Pro
Wait and see
Chief
We are shutdown for the holidays...and even then....we were backed up before then.
Hate to say it...but my guess is you will hear back sometime around middle to late part of January
Agree as well
Tricky
- December is super stressful and full of surprises from all around
- hiring managers could have already gave a signal to the HR and they are overwhelmed
- hiring manager could be wrapping up 1-2 left over interviews that were pre scheduled
- perhaps you can ask if there will be an answer pre holidays or after
- why don’t you reach out with a thank you and the question directly to the hiring manager?
Highly advise not to reach out directly to the HM, they’ll just send you back to the recruiter. It’s unlikely OP has their info anyway as we don’t give out our email/contact info
OP - are you me? Literally in the same boat. Which role are you interviewing for?
In the same boat too, OP and D1! Had last round of interviews on the 7th and still waiting for either the good news or bad news
