Got offers from Mck Research ("Capabilities & Insights Analyst") and an internal consultant role at a retailer with title of "Manager"(I guess its comparable to Associate role) looking at store optimization and growth? Mck pays ~15% more but I heard that the role is highly about research support, creating Mck "proprietary assets" and is well perceived as Tier 2 within the firm. Added bonus of the retailer is they actively hire Mck and BCG for consulting. Which firm would you guys choose?

I’m currently working for a small technical consulting start-up firm. I make good money, have great benefits, and they seem very happy with the work I’m doing, so I know I could move up quickly. However, tech consulting is definitely not my dream job. I want to get into data analytics, and I have an offer from a big company to do just that. I’ve only been at my current company for about 8 months, but I don’t ever see myself loving this job. How do I know when it’s time to make a change?

Jokes aside, I was super insecure about the fact that I didn’t make it to MBB and ended up at D. Seeing fishbowl and how *even* MBB folks share a lot of similar struggles is great for perspective and has helped my self esteem issues a lot.
