Primary care physicians, urgent care/walk-in clinics and ER access is great. Getting basic blood work and scans done is also a breeze. It gets trickier when you need access to specialists as you need a referral - common specialities such as Pediatricians, OB/Gyns are relatively easy and quick to see but if you need to see a hematologist, urologist, or another less common specialty, you may have to wait months for an appointment in most areas. The quality of care and physicians is on par with the US though.
Coming from europe the quality of ER care isn’t great, and it’s “free” as long as it is covered by canadian health insurance.
