Understimulation was a surprisingly difficult issue for me to overcome, and I'm still not quite there. I learned to avoid boredom at all costs by keeping my brain engaged from start to end of shift when possible. Language learning apps were good for me because they were active engagement without putting me in a trance like games do. When it's not reasonable to have my phone with me though, I try to have convos or find something to do. I don't always win.
From a chore perspective, would it help to have a house /apartment cleaning service? That way it’s more “light work”
What about gamifying the household chores? So many points per activity or do a competition with a friend?
I also have ADHD so I know exactly what you mean. When I don’t have anything to work on, I am the same way. I start getting really tired to the point that I can’t keep my eyes open. When that happens I either go to my boss and ask her for something to work on, or I just get up and move around the office a little bit. Sometimes just getting up and stretching my legs can really help.
