Hi all! Got an offer to join a large tech company salary increase from my current role would be ~15%, stock options,~10k sign on bonus, ~15 yearly performance bonus plus other perks. Anyone here work at any large tech companies (Facebook, Google, Amazon, Microsoft, SalesForce, Toast etc.) as an admin? Is it worth the move from consulting? What is the work life balance like, overall pay and benefits, paid time off etc?

While giving the tech interview as well as while having the HR discussion, I mentioned my expected CTC as 9-10 LPA(CTC). I cleared the interview and uploaded all the documents in the portal yesterday. Today mrng all the document verification was completed. But when I got the call for offer discussion, she asked what u expect. I said 9-10 LPA. She questioned me that on what basis I am asking for this much hike. She offered me 6.3 LPA as CTC with 21% variable. 5.2 as basic. Rest part in comments..

I’ve recently started work at a very young tech startup. Coming from a big law background, this was a huge change of pace/environment. I’m having a lot of trouble getting used to how unstructured the startup is. It feels like hire ups give a set of instructions then talk as if they don’t remember, or then decided rules A, B, C and D applies without being clear this was the case. Is this just the general startup environment? If you experienced this before, how did you deal with It?
