Hi all! I am considering quitting my job and being a SAHM. It’s been very hard for me bc my self esteem and identity is tied to my profession (not healthy, I know). I’m struggling to keep up and this is the best option for my family. I can’t be the only parent who has taken this decision. Have others been in this boat? Ps - I have some money saved where I can take a couple years off but have to work after that. Please help guide me into whether this is terrible idea or doable

$325k TC at MBB in a non-generalist (still partner track) path. Love the intellectual variety, smart colleagues, flexibility (WFH has let me take occasional 2-3h windows during the day for personal activities) - can’t take the stress anymore. Are WFH industry roles at the $300-500k TC level really that much less stressful?

Partner quit their job, and according to job contract, have to pay back "training costs" since they left before an agreed-upon amount of time. When it comes to taxes, how should I treat this amount? In the past, I've been able to use a W2C if I payback sign-on bonus, but since the "training" was not income, not sure what to do.

How do you deal with parental guilt when you have to miss things? When my child was a baby it wasn't as big of a deal as long as I was around for the big stuff and was pulling my weight parent wise. Now that they're 4+ everything is big stuff, and every time I can't be there it really affects them.
