Where did you get your MA consulting experience? Do you want to stay in consulting or would be down to explore other areas of market access?
Between thanksgiving and new years is always the worst time to job hunt so don’t get discouraged yet.
Thanks for the insight.
My consulting experience is from a small but global consulting company with a life sciences practice. At this point I am willing to stay in consulting for a bit but would really like to transition into pharma. What other areas of market access would you suggest getting experience in?
Any advice for someone who is trying to do the opposite? (Go from pharma to Life Sciences consulting)
If you are going from pharma to life sciences, there are lots of potential opportunities. The only thing would be is consultancy does not pay the same as pharma.
We see this a lot.
This time of year is slow, but I would start reaching out to companies of interest.
My work friend who does market access also has a ls consulting background, so it's doable! It's a bit of a weird time before Christmas but also know that market access sometimes sits under random functions. As much as you can - try to figure out what function a role you're interested in sits under (maybe HEOR, external affairs, strategy, the specific business, etc) and customize your resume to reflect how you fit into the greater function as well. Good luck!
