Hi all, I’ve been in sales dev for just over 20 months. Started in inbound and got promoted to outbound bdr after 6 months. I’ve done well in outbound but never really enjoyed the role - I’m only doing it as it’s what is required to become an AE at most companies. I was never planning to be in the role for over a year and was expecting to have become an AE by now but hiring has been put on hold and there are basically no promo opportunities. I’ve applied externally but no luck.

Any advice?

Please help! I’m a CRC who manages Investigator- led clinical research projects and I want to transition to a PM role in industry (I would slightly prefer not a PM role in clinical trials since I don’t have clinical trial experience.) I’ve applied to PM roles at many biotech companies (e.g. Charles River, ICON, Paraxel) but only got 1 interview which didn’t work out. Which companies should I look to for an entry level PM role? Any good startups to consider? Anyone have any insight or advice?

My company is giving me a reimbursement while I go to school. It’s capped to induce me to study part time. I decided to go full time. Pay the difference out of pocket so I can graduate quicker. Do you all see a compelling future in your tax career? I’ll go first, I don’t see a compelling future working for a large PA firm in the long run because you have to work more as you move up. However, I do see a compelling future by using my knowledge and skills to open my own firm/business and work less hours as long as I make enough money which is $75k, or if I do work long hours, it’s because I want to.

Why do law firms still request transcripts even if you have been working for over 5 years? I am just curious because they seem to be the only industry that still does it. I get it when someone is fresh out of school, but when someone has been in the workforce for 5-10 years, how are grades relevant?

One of my Black students was recently involved in a biased incident with another student in which he received racist social media messages and racist spoken words from the other student.
