Hi everyone, at this stage in my career, I'm looking to do something new. I have about 18 years in client management leadership (senior manager/director) level roles. My experience has all been in the PBM or Healthcare, Digital Health sector, leading client engagement, strategy or operations. Is consulting even an option for someone with my background? Any recommendations on firms that I should look at? Thanks for reading my post, any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I guess I'll be first to say that if you were already a director, you're moving from most people's exit opportunity towards something perhaps a little less stable and more diverse. Sink or swim isn't always up to you in consulting frankly - much depends on the team or the projects or even the customer. I would probably recommend continuing to seek out strategy roles as an IC outside of consulting or maybe chasing vp roles.

Hey BA friends! I work at a small agency and we’re doing a shoot end of the month. Normally all of our production insurance is covered by liners but for some reason this shoot clients are asking to see our production insurance policy, which we don’t have. Is this something every agency should have? I’ve either had client or production cover so not 100% sure on this! US based company. Shoot is oversees.

Boutique I have been eyeing has billable hour requirement of 1500-1600 and comes with a 20-25% paycut. Is this a stupid idea and should I grind it out until I can move in house? Will this ruin my opportunities down the road?

Hey y'all, kind of a two part question:
1. I enjoy the people management more than individual contributor stuff. What career paths do you see in our industry for people who are managing support engineering teams?
2. What certifications are valued today? Seems like being a AWS Cloud Practitioner is a good general one, but are there others that stand out?

I've become really jaded about consulting. I find all so often you need to tell the client what they want to hear to keep their business and I feel like so much of the what I recommend doesn't actually get implemented. I'm looking to make a career switch so I can both create and execute on my strategies. A product management path seems very promising for this.

Does anyone who switched from consulting to product management have any recommendations of h helpful PM books, courses, or programs?

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.
