Hi Everyone!! I am currently on H1B and was recently laid off. I have a 60 grace period for a new employer to file the paperwork to USCIS. I got an offer letter today, but I do need the company to file the paperwork before the end of my grace period. How do initiate the conversation with HR? Do I tell them about the layoff or will it hinder my offer? What other reason can I give for them to begin the filing before the end of my deadline?

What is happening at Accenture... are recruiters being fired?

H1b/ H4 extensions pending and license is expired! DMV says they don’t renew based on receipt…. What can we do?? It can take months, especially for H4!!

My firm has applied for my L1A visa. If that gets denied, my plan is to travel to Canada and re enter US immediately on B1/B2 visa (already have valid B1/B2 stamp) so that I'll get time to figure out things here in the US (sell my stuff, handle my bank accts etc). Let’s talk about wrongful termination. The other day I was fired in the middle of the day without any warning.
