Hi everyone,
I’m a SC Analyst who’s given up at my current job. Since I’m cross-trained in logistics, sourcing and finance, I’m the go to person to help these roles. However, I’ve expressed to my manager that the workload for my role alone is unmanageable and he refuses to acknowledge this. I’ve never been so depressed in my life. The pays sucks and the organization itself is extremely disorganized. It’s been hard finding better job opportunities. Are there any recession proof areas in SC?

I wouldn't necessary say "recession proof" but there are certainly some areas that are a little more resilient than others, namely working with goods that are essential to survival such as staple foods, water, and oil

I feel that same burnout you describe and I'm on that same path of trying to figure out how to get out. It sounds like you could probably work for a company with a better culture but that still won't change that our jobs are highly tied to the state of the economy. Like SM1 said, essential goods are probably the safest bet we can make if you want a more "stable" role

About to join BNY Mellon this month pune location as a Technical Lead. I am eligible for bonus in Jan 2023 or not ?

A firm approached me with an offer because I had worked with some partners who recently joined. They said it’s not really a “practice” of the firm to guarantee the bonus and that they want to properly incentivize people to hit hours… but I now have data from current associates and ones who had offers (including recently this past month) who received guarantees — nothing exceptional about their circumstances either.

How do I respectfully present that data in a counteroffer?
