Hi everyone. I’ve been working in house for 4 years now (c/o 2021), however I’ve always wanted to work at a firm. With that said, my very first job out of law school was at a boutique firm and the treatment was so abusive that I ultimately had to resign after 2 months. My question is - are there firms out there that are actually good to their employees? I’ve always wanted to go back but I just can’t go through that again. Thanks in advance

Yes! I work at a small firm that is great to me! It has its bad days like any workplace would, but you can definitely find firms that will support you and your development as an attorney in a professional and productive way.

I've heard of these firms, but haven't encountered them myself.

I’ve been interviewing at an agency with the intention of filling a Director role. Recruitment reached out soon after my last meet-and-greet interview (about 6 to 7 people total) to tell me the team thinks I would be best suited for an Associate Director role with a fast follow of a Director promotion.

Recruitment can’t tell me what feedback is creating this gap but also won’t stop mentioning the positive praise and feedback the team had for me.
