Hello all,
I'm currently working on azure cloud in Cognizant . I've about 1.4 years of experience now. I've got an offer from Axtria as an L1 Analyst. Could anyone please suggest if the change in field is worth it. Or should I just look for other jobs in cloud only? I will have to decide this at the earliest so please do help me with it.

I would still recommend dont go to Industry so early. You have ample time to shift to industry at much better package.
I have a slightly different perspective. It’s a great opportunity to switch given the hike. If you are really set on switching to MBB or Kearney then of course it won’t make sense to switch to industry (irrespective of your experience with D). However if it’s only about lucrative switch then this is a good switch (considering package) as long as you can validate that there is a good growth path being offered. If you are unclear on career progression then stick with D as the career progression will be much faster then.
I’m indeed a manager in USI. Given the current market there are multiple lucrative exit options (including MBB and Kearney who are hiring aggressively). However the market won’t be the same always. It does get limited once you spend a couple of years as a manager because then industry roles require specific expertise that is being looked at (and comp is also on the higher side for industry with lesser number of years of experience due to fast career progression in consulting). Research the company that made you an offer before putting papers. You can also continue to explore the market and leverage this offer as your baseline for negotiations at other companies. Don’t consider DI, pay and work culture will leave much to ne desired.
Hope that was helpful :)
Are you in USI? If you want client side, why dont you switch to Strategy&, Parthenon India or D india?
@Author Wouldn't agree the same for Parthenon. They're getting quite a lot of the international strategy projects while I was there 2 months back in TMT. Some restructuring does mean that some EY people have been thrown into the mix with Parthenon on projects which as far as I can see has caused some friction, but all in all, the brand is quite strong
