What amount do people normally put down for a car? Is it a percentage or flat dollar amount? I’m assuming it makes no sense to pay for the car in cash (the promotion is 1.75% APR).

I’m an immigration paralegal but I have an MA in human rights. I’ve been working at my org for 2 1/2 years but I don’t see an upwards growth for me unless I go to law school but that is really expensive and it’ll take a few years. Curious what’s a fair salary in MA? Was just told that there is likely not going to be a chance for a raise during my upcoming performance review due to my salary already being “above average for the industry” based on my employer’s questionable research. I’ve been with the company 8.5 years & am the only one in my role, which they can’t operate without. I execute tasks from two investment advisors and two financial planners - they make the decisions of what should happen & I make it happen.

Hi team, I have officially been promoted to Senior Recruiter, however they only gave me a $5k bump from $72k to 79k. That’s basically below the median standard 10% raise bracket. Being one of the highest performers and trainers, I feel as though maybe I should at least receive $85k at minimum. However, the terms “budget” and “company profits” being beneath forecast are the biggest reasons that I am not receiving a high salary. I understand times can be tough, but any advice to negotiate?
