1. SBI with 9.35% fixed interest
2. PNB with 8.8% floating interest
3. HDFC with 8.9% fixed interest.
Can you suggest which one I can choose or any other suggestions.

I recently sign a lease. The apartment will put my security deposit into an interest-bearing account and requires me to fill out a form W9. I will join EY this June and just wondering if this is ok in terms of the independence rule. I guess the apartment will put my deposit in some sort of funds. Anyone with EY has experience? Would you prepay your mortgage (2.75%) or invest? Would you refinance 15 year or 30yr? I understand that over a long run, you can invest the difference and increase wealth. But it generally takes 10+ years to break even. What’s your reason NOT to do the 30yr mortgage?

I’m a special education parent attorney at a small firm and I’ve spent my legal career in the education and juvenile areas of the law working for 2 non-profits before ending up at the firm. I joined @mindtree in Jan 2022. Suddenly there is a 10k deduction in salary in the month of April. The salary slip say 10k deduction as INCOME TAX. Mindtree says "You come under 20% slab according to the income tax calculations. When all the tax slabs are applied you will have to pay yearly tax around Rs. X amount. So that amount will be deducted in monthly basis." Why sudden income tax deduction? Why was that not deducted in the month of Jan Feb March ? How can i recover that 10k every month?

I live with my mom (Property owner) in delhi and pay 16.5k pm as house rent for HRA deduction.

Now, she need some lumsum amount of 5 lakhs and I would like to pay this but also show this as house rent while filing ITR.

2 MAIN QUESTIONS -

1. Can I pay 5 lakh and show as house rent in HRA while filing ITR?
2. Total yearly rent is 16.5 × 12 = 198k. Can I show remaining amount i.e. 302k as Rent for next year?

Hi fishes, I have only one house property. But when I tried selecting ITR-1 for filing income tax, it shows a message in red mentioning I should select either ITR-2 or 3 since I have income from more than 1 house property. Should I go ahead and file with ITR-1 or do I need to get correction somewhere before filing the return?
