Hi folks, recently one of my friend got fired from publicis sapient. he doesn't want to return company laptop is it leads to any serious issue or else are they deducting the money from final settlement?

Went to HR to complain about horrible manager. Will I get fired or let go? I was just speaking up for myself.

I quit my previous job approximately 5-6 months ago due to toxic culture and being pressured to commit fraud. I fear hiring managers see that I’ve been out of work for this time and may assume I was fired or laid off. Additionally I’ve had a couple interviews where company “X” interviewers have commented on this and in an effort to not bad mouth my previous employer I’m stuck with a generic answer like I want to take my career to the next level with Company “X.” I’m stuck. Thoughts/strategies?

Anyone feel like it took them longer to come into their own as associates? I was a terrible junior, I got fired from my job at a small plaintiff firm. They told me that I don’t have the “mental acuity to be a lawyer,” but as a fifth year at a V30 something just clicked. I just got the first positive evaluation of my professional life. I have a December birthday and this is the first time in ages that I can go into it not feeling hopeless.

Anyone else “fired due to COVID” then see a job listing for their role without the company reaching out to you? Feels pretty shitty.

Pros/cons of reaching out, in a professional matter of course, to express disappointment on how they treat people? Fully knowing this isn’t happening to just this single role...

Hey All! I was recently laid off in November as part of a company mass layoff. I'm really taking this opportunity to shoot for a Director level position in Marketing. (I've been a marketing professional for over 10 years). I've had one or two direct reports and I really enjoying coaching and mentorship and I've been told I am very creative and strategic able to move projects from conception to creation to execution. Anyone here familiar with the hiring process of KPMG consulting in Van? Had a partner interview on Nov 21, thought the feedback was positive but haven't heard back yet (no rejection/offer). Is it something normal or the interview just didn't go as well as I thought?

It's an experienced hire for an SC role. I saw the posting is still open atm, and my guess is that the recruiting team is comparing candidates since competition is higher due to recent layoffs.

Curious what Salaries are for Account Managers with 6 YOE and two different territories for the last four of those 6 years. No commission/bonuses ever given and no promotions since I took the position 6 years ago despite speaking up several times. COL raises at 1.5% and I now make 70k but at the top of my pay range. I’m starting to look for other jobs now because I’m fed up with having two territories without a raise for the extra work. I feel I should have been promoted to Senior AM long ago.
