A friend who stays in the Netherlands recommended this platform to me after I shared that I don't think I am earning the industry standard salary as an account director. How can I be sure that I am earning the average standard? Additionally, IF I come to find that I am not, how will the negotiations with the MDs work?

Recently, the CEO and my boss, the VP gave me the latitude to promote myself and "write my own" job description. I've been the Marketing Manager of this company for about 7 months. Already received 1 raise.

Throughout my career, I have worked at both “traditional” and “digital” shops. My current agency would fall under traditional but also offers digital services. Our process, roles and skillsets seem way outdated but I wasn’t sure if it was just my opinion or if this is just how it works. For example, we have no CTO or tech leads. Our digital producers feel more like project managers than actual producers. Account Management is just traditional, no real digital knowledge. Feels layered and dated.

Is 7 weeks too early to start thinking I may have made a huge mistake in switching to my current gig?
