Hi 🔥 🐠. I am switching jobs soon to a place that does not offer HDHP. I’d like to move my HSA somewhere better. Any favorites and why? Would like no fees, no account minimums for investing and good investment options. Fidelity and Lively seem like good options per the Google. I have a good chunk in my HSA and don’t have time/interest to actively trade, just want to dump in some good ETFs/funds and let it sit for 30 years. I have minimal healthcare expenses.

Same here. I moved from UMB to Fidelity. Took a while but the funds settled yesterday and I now have 100% in FXAIX. Don't plan on touching for 30 years! 😁

FYI, Morningstar has a good 60+ page comparison of all the HSAs nationwide...the latest was their fourth ranking. Fidelity is tops for most...gaining market share rapidly because of low costs. Optum still has largest market share, but is slipping...the report is free, you just give them your email and they send it to you. I’ve followed it closely for the last four years and I think Fidelity will likely continue to be the most competitive...for the first couple of years the competition was tight and HealthEquity took 1st one year, but I don’t think that they’ll be able to compete with Fidelity’s scale. When I leave my employer(they use HealthEquity), I will likely move my $30k to Fidelity...wish I had it longer than 2015 to present...really wouldn’t mind seeing it at $250k+, which is what it would be had I been covered under a HDHP at my old employer.

“HSA Landscape” is what they call it

Fidelity is a good choice. Stay away from HSA Bank / Webster, they are garbage

Received an offer from the DOJ for a 2 year contract, doing work which seems more interesting/engaging than what I’m doing right now (insurance defence) - but for just over 9% less than I’m currently making, and the partner track has been outlined for me at my firm..feel like it’s not worth trading higher long term earning potential for contract + pay cut just because the work is more engaging..but on the other hand, ID is starting to bore me..thoughts/refs to anyone at DOJ would be appreciated

My boyfriend and I make 200K combined and live in NJ. We have $1000 in monthly car payments combined. That’s all we owe. Our credit scores are in the 800s. We have 50K to put down on a home. We have done the math and I know we can afford much more but he doesn’t want to buy more than a 400K home. I’m almost positive we can afford 500K and be more than ok. But then he starts to talk about how much kids cost and how we will be house poor and we won’t be able to afford kids. 🤔 Am I insane??

Offer 1 - staff revenue accountant so reading contracts, speaking with the sales team and legal team, a lot of work at the end of the months to close books and reconcile transactions to make sure we are ASC 606 compliant. This track usually leads to director of revenue. Offer 2 - internal audit staff so SOX and compliance projects.

I’m maxing out my 401K, traditional IRA and HSA this year and paying for some house improvements. I have about $750K total investments and very close to $2M net worth, but realize that I am behind on investments if I want to do FIRE. I was focused on paying off huge chunks of my mortgage and managed to whittle it down to $75K left. Would you suggest I go ahead and pay that off this year? Or pause and do a mega back door roth instead? I’m mid 40s. Thanks!

Scores consider the number of accounts that are paid as agreed. Your score was impacted because the number of these accounts is too low, or because you've missed payments recently on some of your accounts.
