I’m in big law and on the cusp of making the jump to in-house. It sounds like the company I just interviewed with is getting ready to make me an offer. It’s definitely going to be a pay cut coming from big law but I do get some nice equity in the company. Is the jump worth it? I’m so burnt out by big law and this seems like an awesome opportunity to help shape a newish company. Any tips on how to figure out if this is the right move for me?

Interviewed for Deloitte S&A Tech Strategy SC and got a verbal offer for Consultant instead. I negotiated the offer to 120K salary and 10K signing bonus. I’m a boomerang with 4 years ERP consulting but this past year I’ve been doing DEI Consulting. Spoke with former colleagues who rejoined Deloitte and got a much higher offer for SC. How do I go back to the recruiter to negotiate further? I suggested that I’d probably sign but need time to think. Now I’d like to go back and request 140k salary.

I have been interviewing for a new job but I keep hearing about layoffs and a recession coming. Is now a bad time to switch jobs?

I have 1 job offer that is an hour away and pays 45k, after negotiations (Research Associate Position at a University) .

I have just interviewed for a position closer to home and a base salary of 65k, but haven’t heard back from them in about 2 days (He said he would make a decision by yesterday and I’ve reached out).

Had my 2nd interview with the hiring manager this past Friday & sent a thank you shortly after. It's now Tuesday (for those who see this on another day). At the end of the interview he said they've had other people who were interested but only one other person besides me were they considering. Said he would talk to his team and possibly have me fly out to meet in person. How long should I wait to follow up without seeming pushy? Trying to figure out from a client relations perspective how much I need to be fluent in Google Analytics and the planning and buying process of paid media: social and search.
I want to be more fluent and speak eloquently about it so that I am well rounded in my role.
My current position doesn't allow for any hands on experience. Any advice would be appreciated in terms of how to gain the experience or course recommendations.

I am a registered sales assistant which means I have my series 7. I also have the 63 and my Life & Health license. I was a financial advisor but the role is commission only so I decided to take a role as an assistant for some time to learn etc. I really like my role, but I only make 32k a year and after taxes I only take home about 25k. I have a gut feeling that I’m not being paid market value but it’s tough to find comparable salaries. Do you think $15.38/hr is a fair wage in this case?
