Hi, I need your honest opinion on this. Currently I have done AWS cloud practitioner certificate and want to progress but I don't think to like Solution Architect that much, I feel it will be boring for me. I love to create things, and love data manipulation, so I found this course in Google data engineer + AI... I feel it might be good fit for me. What do you think about it. Am looking for something I can study and stick with it long run. Thanks 😊.

Hi I’m in the process of a similar program of data engineer. It’s a good kind of hard program because it stimulates your brain and I feel like data is always revolving that it will never get boring. I say listen to your heart and do what makes you happy and creative 😊

Ok, thanks for your response.

Definitely follow your instinct when it comes to these kinds of things. You don't want to be stuck with a job you find boring. Take the course and see what doors it opens for you. DA1 is right that data is always going in new directions so there will always be something fun to do.

Thank you. Already started it today, let me see how it goes.

Hi everyone
My brother wants to buy Financial modelling and valuation analyst (FMVA) by Corporate
Finance Institute(CFI) opting for a purely online
course. It is costing me around 30000 for Normal self study and 70000 for
full immersion/premium pack. (I don't
know about the placement assistance but need it so that he can get placed as he is a 2020 grad)
Is this course worth buying or anyone

Dislike big law? or Dislike firm? or Dislike practice area? I'm not sure I can tell. I feel very apathetic about everything I do (corporate) since it's so meaningless to me, but I have no idea what I would do differently if I left a firm. Thoughts on this? I've considered lateraling but I don't know if I understand my underlying dissatisfaction. Plus, I make ridiculous money sitting in my home office while my cousin works in a coal mine...why am I complaining?

Does anyone have experience moving from federal to commercial? I’ve been in federal for a little over a year and am itching for higher paced, less bureaucratic client work.

I recently (1+ yr ago) transitioned from consulting to industry. The hours are much better. Total comp is less than what I was making on the consulting side (-15% less). My schedule is much better, and I have a good routine outside of work. However, I don't feel accomplished at my current role and feel like I am not learning as much. I was hoping that I would make up for that comp difference in a year or two but upward mobility seems limited. Is it too soon to look for another job?

Scored an awesome midlevel role at a remote agency that I negotiated to start in the new year.
I wanted a nice winter break before starting but also wanted to give my bosses plenty of time to find a replacement. I’m happy to stay till the holidays so I can finish up my responsibilities. We’re a small agency and I’m one of two ADs.
I know my leaving will be a shock to my team. Any tips for quitting a job when you really like the people? I have a meeting with my CD scheduled for tomorrow.
